Systems Change Work

BYE Foundation offers a unique approach to systems change work. We work with organizations to identify and address equity gaps in funding, data, research, capacity building, and wellness. We support the implementation of trauma-informed approaches in parents/caregivers and organizations across sectors through our various programs.

Community Resilience Project

The Community Resilience Project is designed to create awareness of the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), trauma, and toxic stress to build individual and community resilience using trauma-informed, data, family-centered, and racial equity-focused approaches.

The Building Community Resilience framework, NC Resilient Community Initiative, and the PACES Connection inform this work.

Resilient Parent Program (RPP)

The Resilient Parent Program (RPP) hosts family engagement activities and services. We focus on building resilience, self-advocacy, and prioritizing wellness among vulnerable families with children ages birth to five. The Resilient Parent Program uses a two-generation approach and seeks to strengthen the relationship with families and service providers.

Social Work Internship

In partnership with community colleges and universities, BYEF hosts an internship program for students pursuing a career in Social Work to develop a pipeline of trauma-informed Social Workers.

Interns are paired with programs that serve vulnerable populations to ensure proper support and resources are made available.
