Community Resilience Project

The Community Resilience Project (formerly Charlotte Resilience Project) is the heartbeat of our organization. It is designed to create awareness of the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), trauma, and toxic stress with the intent to build both individual and community resilience using trauma-informed, data, family-centered, and racial equity-focused approaches.

Resilient Parent Program (RPP)

The Resilient Parent Program (RPP) hosts family engagement activities and services. We focus on building resilience, self-advocacy, and prioritizing wellness among vulnerable families with children ages birth to five.

Social Work Internship

In partnership with community colleges and universities, BYEF hosts an internship program for students pursuing a career in Social Work to develop a pipeline of trauma-informed Social Workers.

B.U.I.L.D.

B.U.I.L.D. is our annual fundraising grant-making campaign.

This program:

Builds BIPOC-led grassroots organizations
• Uplifts community leaders,
• Enhances positive impact
• Provides opportunities to learn about local and federal compliance standards
Develop sustainable non-profit business strategies and funding streams
